A brief unscripted and impromptu lecture on the origin of the Ancient Philistines and how their arrival and expansion caused the Ancient Israelites to create a monarchy.

Note: Caphthor is believed to be Cyprus or Crete. This is an indicator of the provenance of these peoples. Cypriot-Minoan pottery influenced Mycenean IIIC which later developed into Philistine Bichrome ware on the coastal plains of the Levant during the Iron Age I arrival and settlement of the Philistines. This short lecture was designed to demonstrate how history, archaeology and literary analysis aids in anthropological studies of ancient cultures.
